Founded in November 2001, The Downtown Clinic, PA has provided primary care and immediate care to the residents of New Hanover County, Pender County and Brunswick County as well as the surrounding areas. The downtown location was the primary facility at 119 Chestnut Street in Wilmington for 18 years. Due to Hurricane Florence in September 2018 the clinic was forced to relocate to a new facility due to damage to the facility and the building. We are now open at our current and permanent location at 1615 Doctors Circle in Wilmington and are continuing to serve our patients and the community. We are always accepting new patients and we accept most all commercial, private, and government insurances.

The goal of the clinic is to provide comprehensive primary care, immediate care, and diagnostic services to our patients. Services include walk in care for illness or injury, scheduled appointments for routine and general care, minor surgical procedures, and all types of physical exams. Various occupational health services are also available. We offer on site labs and reference labs through Quest Laboratory.

The Downtown Clinic, PA has been using an electronic medical record (EMR) since 2006 to document patient care and access medical information. The EMR allows for e-prescribing and continuity with patient medications and pharmacies.

Patient admissions to New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) are accomplished through NHRMC Hospitalist Group at 2131 South 17th Street.
